Privacy Policy

myretirement.io is a product of Iron Reed LLC, a Texas limited liability company. We build consumer-facing financial planning software. Our contact email is hello@myretirement.io.

All financial inputs you enter into myretirement.io — including but not limited to account balances, retirement ages, Social Security estimates, spending targets, pension income, legacy goals, and tax information — are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage on your own device.

We do not transmit this data to our servers. We do not store it in our database. We do not have access to it. Our servers never see it.

If you use our Recovery Code feature to save your plan, your data is encrypted client-side using AES-256-GCM before any export. The encryption key is derived from a password you choose. We do not receive or store the encrypted data or your password.

When you create an account, we collect and store:

• Email address — used to identify your account
• Authentication data — managed by Clerk (our authentication provider). This includes your sign-in method (email or Google) and session tokens.
• Subscription status — whether you are on the free Snapshot tier or the paid Planner tier, your subscription start and end dates, and your Stripe customer ID.

We do not collect your name, phone number, address, or any financial information through our account system.

Planner subscribers may save named scenario snapshots to our servers. Snapshots store computed output values only — summary figures such as projected portfolio value, maximum safe withdrawal rate, and retirement readiness score. Raw financial inputs are not included in snapshots stored on our servers.

We use the following third-party services to operate myretirement.io:

• Clerk — authentication and user session management. Clerk's privacy policy is available at clerk.com/privacy.
• Stripe — payment processing for Planner subscriptions. Stripe handles all payment card data. We never see or store your payment information. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
• Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, and web analytics. Cloudflare may collect anonymized traffic data such as page views and general geographic region. No personally identifiable information is included. Cloudflare's privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

We use session cookies set by Clerk to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics that identify individual users. We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-preserving and does not use cookies or fingerprint individual users.

Your account data (email, subscription status) is retained as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your account and associated subscription records within 30 days.

Because we do not store your financial inputs, there is no financial data to delete from our servers. Clearing your browser's localStorage will remove all locally stored plan data from your device.

myretirement.io is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@myretirement.io.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of myretirement.io after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
